Our Recruitment Process
This is the general process all of our candidates follow. Sometimes we will switch the order of things, but we follow the same general pattern.
Instead of emailing us directly we communicate with you through a tool called Teamtailor. You will get all messages from us to your email address, but the sender address will be listed as Teamtailor. It might feel a little confusing, but it really helps us keep track of applicants and give everyone a fair review.
Review
We review your application as soon as it comes in. If you're a designer, make sure you have attached your portfolio here. Also make sure you have read our guide to how to land a job at Block Zero to maximize your chances.
We review and respond to all applications, but because of the large number of applications we may not be able to give detailed feedback to everyone.
Meet & greet with hiring manager
Short meeting with the hiring manager. We go through some general questions
about your expectations, the company and the position, and you will get to present yourself.
You do not need to prepare for this meeting.
Meeting with the team
You get to meet with members of the team you are potentially joining. Here we will want you to showcase some of your work, so be prepared to present parts of your portfolio.
The meeting can be online or in our studio.
Challenge
Wow you made it this far! For some positions we will ask you to do a tricky work challenge to show us your mad skills. This challenge can take different forms but is designed for us to get to know how you think and work.
We do respect that challenges are hard and time consuming, but we sometimes we need this step in order to get a good grasp of your skills.
You will get to present your work to us afterwards. We focus on reasoning, presentation skills, methodology and the output.
Offer
This is the end of the line, we will contact you for an offer of employment and draw up a contract that we will send to you digitally. If you haven't already you will meet with our CEO.
